Reading Is An Investment ? Here and There ? A New Jersey ...

I love reading. Anything and everything in print is fair ? books, newspapers, magazines?fits my frugal picky voluminous bookworm interests. I have a library card and use it. Long before Crichton, Patterson, Turrow, Follett, Tillery, Evanovich, Clancy, Grafton, Roberts, and Kellerman, I cut my teeth on Keene, Gardner, Christie, and Doyle.

I hang out in the local bookstore. Too many times hubby or one of the offspring surprises me with a just released title that I just read. Can?t get enough Kellerman, Deaver, Cornwall, and Truman. Then my mystery stories get second lives when I pass them on to family and friends.

Paperbacks (no electronics required) are my constant travel companion. I continuously cycle my personal book trader store finds. Alas, contemporary authors just don?t tell story like Kemelman or Kienzle anymore.

Newspapers keep me current and aware locally, nationally, and internationally. I keep hearing that these publications are a dying breed. Too bad! The printed word requires no technology or batteries. Besides the printed word often contains coupons.

Magazines offering something for anyone and everyone, round out my printed material selections. My men?s journals (Men?s Journal, Gameinformer, P. S.) along with my own favorites (Readers Digest, O, NEA, NJEA, AAA, and AARP) ? all great resources but bland.

Where can I find articles for the traveler, hobbyist, professional, gamer, reader? Where can I find up-to-date on beauty, fashion, sports, beautiful people even scandal? Hm, The recent internet post about all magazine prices including my favorite periodical Soap Opera Digest is well worth giving more thought. After all, reading is the best investment ever.
